Cambridge Systematics, Inc., a subcontractor OpenPlans Transportation was selected by the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) software development for the MTA Bus time, real time bus information system users in New York City.

MTA Bus Time will allow bus drivers to use smart phones, text messaging, or your web browser to learn how far the next bus is from their point of view, thus saving time and making them easier to travel by bus. Users can also scan the Quick Response (QR) codes at the bus stop signs to learn right away, when the next bus will arrive.

MTA Bus time will remove the uncertainty of waiting for the bus, leaving our drivers take a few extra minutes at home with family instead of waiting at the bus stop.
