My Mexico trip? Travel Tips

As already observed during our first visit, construction of mega resorts was in progress, but I had no idea how quickly the landscape changed. Charming little fishing villages such as Punta Bete seems to have become completely disappeared. Hotel Giant complexes now stand where once empty beaches with few Caribbean restaurants.

as Chichen Itza, Palenque and Uxmal are wonderful. Merida is a nice city, especially on Sundays. However, it is much more expensive than Guatemala, which also has an atmosphere of Guatemala. Caribbean coast (Playa del Carmen, Tulum) I can definitely seduce us: it is quite expensive and hypertouristic also.Still, we went back to Mexico in 12/99 to complete the journey we stopped at a friend in 1993.
