Pathology Visions Conference Draws Digital pathology experts from around the world

without the number of digital pathology experts participated seventh Annual Pathology Visions Conference earlier this month. Digital Pathology Association (DPA) conference in San Diego featured more than 50 exhibitors and 42 educational sessions.
We had the largest number of participants in the history of our conference, and we are very proud of the role of the Pathology Visions Conference play in the education of those in digital pathology profession, said Dirk Soenksen, president of Digital Pathology Association and Chairman of the Programme Committee Pathology Visions. At this years conference, we had participants from 30 states, 17 countries and 174 organizations who left with a greater understanding of cutting-edge applications of digital pathology. Are you already have plans for next years conference to be held October 28 to 31, 2012 in Baltimore, MD.
For the first time, the Indiana State Medical Association offered a doctor Pathology Visions Conference participants the opportunity to earn up to 13 continuing medical education (CME) credits. For those who were not able to attend and still want to earn CME credits, two conference presentations, keynote address and panel discussion of the regulatory, is now available online.
Regulatory Roundtable titled Navigating Digital Pathologys way to the patient was under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Hewitt, a member of the NCI and FDA 2009 Hematology and Pathology Devices Advisory Panel on Digital Pathology. Dr. Mahul B. Amins keynote presentation entitled, personalized medicine: Empowering light microscopy and pathologists. Dr. Amin is chairman and professor of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His presentation Reviewed the role of the pathologist in modern health care and discuss the contributions, strengths and limitations of traditional microscopy.
