Walk 0.37 miles (7 minutes) East to 34TH ST – HERALD SQ STA
Take the BRIGHTON BEACH bound B line Train
to KINGS HWY STATION
Transfer to the 57TH ST-7TH AV bound Q line Train
Get off at AVENUE M STATION

Avenue U and what street? You need to make your question more specific in order of us to help you. Avenue U runs from Stillwell Avenue to Bergen Avenue and there are several subway line with the name Avenue U.

Just take the 1, 2, 3, A, C, E train up town and get off at 42nd street – time sq
then
take the q train downtown….

Walk over to 34th Street-Herald Square and go to the Brooklyn-bound F, N, or Q. Take that to Avenue U. Once you are there, either walk or take the B3 bus to your destination.
Details: The Q train station is at Avenue U between East 15th Street and East 16th Street. This is the best station for points east of Ocean Parkway. (The numbers higher than East 6th Street (East 7th, East 8th, etc))
The F train station is at Avenue U at McDonald Avenue. This is the best station for points between West 5th Street and Ocean Parkway. (numbers lower than West 5th Street and East 5th Street)
The N train station is at Avenue U at West 8th Street. This is the best station for points west of West 5th Street. (The numbers higher than West 5th Street) (West 6th Street, West 7th Street, etc)
See which direction you are going in from the train station. If you are going east of the train station (regardless of which subway line you take), take the B3 bus towards East 71st Street/Avenue U or East 74th Street/Avenue X. If you are going west of the train station, take the B3 towards 25th Avenue. Ask the bus driver if you are unsure. This is the best information I can give you if you don’t give me the cross street.
