The school started as a unit in Kikowani primary school in 1984. By the year 1999, the unit had grown to a fully fledged school and moved to the present site. The school mission is to rehabilitate mentally handicapped children through various activities and to enable them to lead a normal life. We want to appreciate the mentally challenged persons as part of our society and show them love. The international volunteers will attend an orientation about the objectives and expectations of the program. In the school, the volunteers will be involved in various teaching activities, including assisting the teachers in sense training, communication, number work, reading, organizing games and art lessons.
